The International Society of Minimally Invasive and Virtual Surgery (ISMIVS, previously known as International Society of Minimally Invasive and Noninvasive Medicine) was founded in July 2013 at the gala of the 1st Yangtze International Summit of Minimally Invasive and Noninvasive Medicine in Chongqing, China. ISMIVS envisions to accelerating the progress in minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine by promoting research, education, communication, and international collaboration.

In July 2023, the Young ISMIVS Committee was formally established in order to respond to the development trend of minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine, and further consolidate the core group of young physicians.
为顺应微无创医学发展的趋势,进一步凝聚中青年微无创医学骨干的力量,推动微无创医学的发展。2023年7月,国际微无创医学会“青年委员会”(以下简称“青委会”)正式成立。
As the youth force of the new era in the field of minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine, the Young ISMIVS Committee carries the important mission of enlightening medical innovation and leading the development of this field. It will become a solid pillar to promote the breakthroughs in minimally invasive and noninvasive medicine to new heights through its unique vitality and profound deposits.
青委会作为微无创领域新时代的青春力量,承载着启迪医学创新、引领微无创技术发展的重要使命,将凭借其独特的创新活力和深厚的专业积淀,成为推动微无创领域不断突破、迈向新高峰的坚实砥柱。
In medicine, a group of passionate young physicians, who harbor the love and persistence for minimal invasiveness and non-invasiveness, keep exploring and moving forward. They are the members of the Young ISMIVS Committee, who contribute to the development of this field with their enthusiasm and wisdom.

On June 22, 2025, the parallel session of“New Advances in Minimally Invasive and Non-Invasive Treatments for Uterine Fibroids”of the 2025 Yangtze Summit of Minimally Invasive and Noninvasive Medicine & Annual Academic Conference of the Focused Ultrasound Therapy Branch of Chongqing Medical Association was rounded off.
6 月 22 日,2025 微无创医学长江论坛暨重庆市医学会聚焦超声治疗分会学术年会分论坛“子宫肌瘤的微无创治疗新进展”圆满举行。
Moderators included: Jordi Rodriguez, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mútua Terrassa University Hospital, Spain; Chen Hengxi, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University; Oliver Cruz, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Endoscopy and Robotics UNAM INPer México; Zhang Chun, Director of Gynecology, the Central Hospital of Wuhan.

She emphasized the non-invasive advantages of this approach in preserving patients' fertility and shared the latest advancements and application prospects of this technology.

Prof. Sharifah Halimah Jaafar from Hospital Picaso, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, presented on how robotic-assisted myomectomy minimizes uterine damage through precise manipulation. She emphasized the clinical value and practical experience of this technique in preserving female fertility.

Prof. Zhou Honggui, Dean of the School of Nursing, North Sichuan Medical College, focused on minimally invasive treatments for type II submucosal uterine fibroids. By comparing clinical data on the impact of different surgical approaches on pregnancy outcomes, he proposed recommendations for optimizing treatment strategies.

This included the establishment of standardized procedures and long-term follow-up outcomes.

Drawing on international practices, they explored the balance of technical choices under varying healthcare resource contexts and the need for standardized development of postoperative fertility assessment systems.

Ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation for uterine arteriovenous fistula: a case series
超声引导下高强度聚焦超声消融治疗子宫动静脉瘘:病例系列研究
This article is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation in the treatment of uterine arteriovenous fistula (UAVF).
本文旨在评估高强度聚焦超声(HIFU)消融术治疗子宫动静脉瘘(UAVF)的疗效和安全性。
Three patients completed HIFU treatment in a single session without any major complication. Following HIFU treatment, there was a significant relief in clinical symptoms, particularly abnormal uterine bleeding.
三名患者均在一次治疗中完成了 HIFU 治疗,未出现任何重大并发症。HIFU 治疗后,患者的临床症状显著缓解,尤其是异常子宫出血。
Ultrasound examinations conducted one month after the treatment revealed a notable reduction in the volume of the lesion, ranging from 57% to 100%. Moreover, the efficacy and safety of HIFU treatment remained consistent during the 12-month follow-up period.

The steady ascent of laparoscopic and robot-assisted techniques marks a great step forward, promising benefits like shorter recovery times for patients and represents fantastic progress in the field.
