On September 14, 2019, the International Society of Minimally Invasive and Virtual Surgery (ISMIVS) joined hands with the Society of African Gynecologists and Obstetricians (SAGO) and convened a regional meeting, i.e. the 2019 African Symposium on High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Therapy for Tumors, in Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Johannesburg, South Africa. About 50 world known doctors of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Interventional Radiology, and Surgery from 13 countries joined this event, including 10 board members of SAGO.
